FAW Hongqi Launches 2025 eπ007 with Enhanced Smart Features and Improved Performance

SHENYANG, China - On May 21st, 2025, the FAW Hongqi eπ007 became available to purchase in a push for innovation across modern technology and comfort. It is positioned as a large SUV, catering to consumers who require power with both all-electric and plug-in hybrid options.

In terms of appearance, the new model retains its predecessor's design while incorporating upgrades to paint processing technology, enhancing clarity, and usability. Five distinct car colors are made available: misty dawn white, mountain quartz gray, yinyue violet, sunflower gold, and darkness black.

Dimensions-wise, the vehicle measures 4880mm in length, 1895mm in width, and 1470mm in height with a wheelbase of 2915mm. Furthermore, it introduces 19-inch Starlight motion wheels paired with Ma Xiaoma noiseless tires for reduced sound pollution during operation.

Inside the car, FAW Hongqi eπ007 prioritizes technological advancements and enhanced comfort through the redesign of its dashboard. It features updated electronics consisting of a larger 15.6-inch ultra-clear screen displaying at 2.5K pixel resolution alongside a new touch-screen dashboard measuring 10.25 inches.

A major update comes in the form of its EpiOS 2.0 car computer system, supporting new function categories including card partitioning, split-screen interactions, personalized background images, and support for AI language models such as Baidu package & Deepseek. The car computer also includes integration with various music applications like QQ Music and payment services.

The car accommodates comfort enhancements including opening the doors by lightly pressing the keys rather than turning a traditional handle. Additionally, there is an added touch of synthetic leather heat on the steering wheel. Throughout the seating area, soft seats along with bolstered middle support areas were also integrated for enhanced passenger experience, accompanied by upgraded 8-dot big feel pressure systems offering stronger and wider pressure compared to original models.

For power management, the vehicle introduces a hybrid drive system incorporating both all-electric and plug-in options, providing 218 horsepower in the hybrid setup. This electric model boasts faster acceleration speeds at under 100 km/h clocking down at 7.2 seconds and longer ranges under optimized test cycle conditions - achieving improvements across pure electric and enhanced versions for sustained performance.

Comprehensive upgrades cover significant upgrades in electric models' capabilities, adding to what has already been a comprehensive lineup of options available to consumers when purchasing the vehicle.
