Chinese Electric SUV Makes Market Debut with Multiple Trim Options
On February 22, the new Cheery Cloud T8 officially went on sale. It offers six different trim options and prices ranging from $10,390 to $15,090, with a test drive price of $9,990 to $14,690.
The all-new Cloud T8 is positioned as a compact SUV, available in 5-seat or 7-seat configurations. Powertrain is equipped with either a 1.5L hybrid or a 1.5T hybrid engine, depending on the trim option. The car also boasts smart features such as intelligent driving assist, smart seats, and state-of-the-art infotainment systems.
Exterior-wise, the new Cloud T8 continues to use its signature design language, adopting an eight-diamond design front grille, featuring a chrome-plated frame, and displaying an angular and modern design. Exterior dynamics have been greatly enhanced in comparison with the previous cloud model; car body lines are sleeker, giving off more athleticism.
When it comes down to styling features both front end & rear end lights follow cloud T9’s silhouette while presenting even simpler designs.
Interior space is generous at a 4730/1860/1747mmm length-by-width by height. Combined with an advanced suspension and large tires the ride quality will likely feel pretty smooth. Rear trunk is somewhat cramped, though, it is expected that the rear seats have been slightly adjusted to meet modern seating designs. Seats itself are relatively new featuring heating cushions on seats, electrically adjustable & reclining backrests supported and cushion settings. In addition there is also voice assistant built-in. Seats also support five different configurations with a layout designed for comfort.
Overall range is estimated around 265km with it being able to support up till EV mode of full electricity driving efficiency reaching approximately at 5.38km/km.
Market Competition
A main competitor is the Geely Xiaogu Er Shi electric, offering an excellent low power consumption & reasonable specifications. Furthermore a high-quality electric with good interior design - Biadu Song Plus DM-i takes its place as another worthy competitor.
