Tesla Model S Plaid Upgrades Leaked: What to Expect from the 2025 Release
A series of leaked photographs has shed light on the upcoming Tesla Model S Plaid's updated aerodynamics and powertrain. The upgrades are expected to be unveiled in 2025, with improvements anticipated across both areas.
The front portion of the new car appears extensively modified, with minimal change in the lighting configuration. However, the internally mounted LED daytime running lights remain unchanged. Notably, the frontal air dam has undergone a minute dimensional adjustment, accompanied by an enhanced lip design that makes it more distinguishable visually.
Upon inspection from the side, the overall structure of the new car retains its standard three-box sedan formality. Nonetheless, this is paired with all-new specifications for large-diameter 'Y' sloped wheels. Among these changes lie significantly thinner high-performance tires, and a carbon-ceramic braking system has also been integrated.
The rear section is most distinguished by the incorporation of larger than before underbody airflow control features coupled with an entirely new diffuser unit. These modifications could help enhance overall aerodynamics performance.
Most notable enhancements will likely be observed in the powertrain upgrades with expectations pointing towards updated electric motor configurations that would ultimately lead to a more powerful top output.
