Interior
The interior design is equally impressive, featuring a layered dashboard layout with an emphasis on luxury. The cabin boasts a 12.3-inch full-liquid crystal instrument cluster, a head-up display, and a massive 14.6-inch multimedia touchscreen.
In addition to these advanced features, the vehicle provides coffee cup holders, heated and ventilated seats for all rows, and front-seat massage functionality. Coffee OS 3.0 is used in the intelligent cabin, with optional Nappa leather seats available.
The plug-in hybrid structure employs a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine combined with two electric motors at the front and rear axles. The power output reaches an impressive total of 865 horsepower (645 kilowatts) and a staggering torque measurement of 1,195 Newton-meters!
Suspension System
Contrary to competitors such as the GAC Paworé, which utilize conventional suspension systems for off-road traction, the TANKS employs a non-load-bearing monocoque body with an integrated rear axle. This design provides several benefits, including exceptional roll stiffness, increased structural strength, improved crashworthiness, and enhanced maneuverability over rough terrain.
Competitors
The GAC Paworé has its strong points as well - being available in multiple seating configurations (6 and 7-seat respectively), this car is more suited to the modern demands of urban users seeking convenience without sacrificing their adventurous side.
Editor's Verdict
The TANKS 500 Hi4-Z, by virtue of using a plug-in hybrid configuration without compromising fuel economy, offers an unparalleled combination for both on-street comfort and real-world wilderness survival.
