Mini Cooper G7 to Launch on July 3, with a Starting Price of $23,580
The British Motor Company (Mini) has confirmed that the Mini Cooper G7 will be available for purchase on July 3. The new model is expected to cater to the growing demand for electric vehicles, particularly in the compact SUV segment.
Measuring 4892mm in length, 1925mm in width, and 1655mm in height, the Mini Cooper G7 will sit on a wheelbase of 2890mm. Its exterior design feature the classic Mini family face, complete with a grille and frontal LED lights that merge seamlessly with the fog lamp slot below.
One notable external detail is the absence of side mirrors, replaced by LED indicators embedded in the wing mirrors for improved safety and convenience. The vehicle also features static door handles, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a distinctive centre-mounted brake light.
Upon closer inspection, six unique exterior colors will be available: Celeste Grey, Moon Silver, Starlight White, Midnight Black, Cloud Grey, and Nova Green. These are complemented by numerous interior palette options through the incorporation of 256 colour ambient lighting options. The car's interior is streamlined with a prominent middle infotainment platform consisting of a 15.6-inch floating touchscreen display. Also, this new Mini incorporates a wide viewing angle, including features such as augmented reality navigation and enhanced lane guidance for added safety.
The Mini Cooper G7 will be equipped with an all-wheel drive system powered by a single rear-mounted motor delivering a maximum output of 218kW. When paired with a lithium-iron-phosphate battery and a carbon-silicon high-pressure platform, this powertrain offers impressive fuel efficiency of up to 702km in all-electric city range. This new model also sports an integrated electronic Damping Control Control (DCC) system coupled with a novel AI-based hill hold and curve assist for enhanced convenience.
With respect to key safety features like automatic lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control systems and vehicle stabilisation technology, the Mini Cooper G7 promises to provide a safe yet enjoyable driving experience.
