Toyota Belta 3X Now Available in China: A New Player in the Electric SUV Market

On March 6, the latest electric SUV from Toyota's Chinese subsidiary, Toyota Motor Corporation (CMC), was launched as the Toyota Belta 3X. This new model is part of Toyota's expanding electric vehicle lineup and marks a significant move into the Chinese electric SUV market.

Design and Features

The Toyota Belta 3X boasts a sleek design inspired by the Hi-Tech & Warmth style of Toyota's pure electric series, with a front grille that wraps around an LED light strip. The side profile features a pair of C-pillars, while the rear end has a unique 7-segment-like pattern as part of its dual-lobed taillight system.

The Belta 3X offers two colors - "Sky" and "Ocean" white, with "Snow" black available on certain trim levels. Rear doors feature magnetic latch handles that can be slid into place using an integrated rod for smooth opening. The wheel design varies depending on the model, ranging from 18 to 19 inches.

Inside the cabin, there are options like Black and White tones with aluminum accents available for users to select. The console is a single color as well.

The dashboard also consists of multi-color units to suit every taste!

Electronics in Full Swing

The Belta has advanced audio setup that is all about pure convenience. With a mobile phone charging device, USB ports, Bluetooth connectivity and more, it won’t take long till the vehicle becomes an extension on your home.

When you get behind the steering wheel, things become more complex. This car sports two versions of motors to cater to different drivers! With 204PS top power coming off one motor, while its peak torque is at 195PS with another motor available after installation.

The battery capacity also varies from one trim level to another – there are three options!

These batteries have huge capacities too! So when it comes to range — they’re a lot different. In this case:

• 50.03kWh battery for about 290 kilometers of pure range • 54 kWh Battery - approximately ranging up to 285 miles • and finally, the big baby - at 67.92 KWh capacity offering us roughly around 315 kilometers or more!

Advanced Assistance System

Based on what we have seen so far, this is going to make our lives a lot easier. Whether it’s getting into your car with minimal effort – thanks to its unique keyless entry and start feature, there’s not much the new Belta 3X can’t do.

With an integrated navigation system coupled with Toyota's renowned Hybrid Assistive Technology - or ‘Dynamic Guidance & Assistance’ more officially known -- you'll drive through town streets and country roads without once needing a second thought.

It all revolves around safety first in driving. Always!

In addition to the advanced guidance assistance system, it also uses multiple sensors from onboard cameras and wheel speed sensors to ensure smooth travel.

The Belta has no less than 29 sensors in total on our test model.

A quick look over prices suggests Toyota has done it right this time – getting an electric vehicle as simple as possible. It's priced under 3 million RMB (approximately), which isn't all that bad considering its performance specs.

While some key electronics like infotainment have been mentioned we also don't see too many details on what comes with other trim levels. Toyota is known for setting off different prices in their model lineup - but at this point, those are only guesses.

This gives our first glimsps into a new Toyota product to say the least – it's quite exciting!
