Porsche Posts Record Quarterly Deliveries But China Slows Amid Global Trade Risks

Porsche Sees 71470 Vehicles Delivered in Q1 2025, with Hybrid and Electric Cars Making Up a Significant Share

Porsche delivered a total of 71570 vehicles to customers worldwide in the first quarter of 2025, representing an increase of more than 8% compared to the same period last year. The majority of these vehicles were electric or plug-in hybrid models, making up approximately 38.5% of the company's total delivery.

In terms of specific models, the Panamera saw a significant increase in deliveries, with 7769 units delivered, representing a growth of 27% compared to the same period last year. The Macan model also saw considerable growth, with 23555 deliveries, an increase of 14%. Most of these Macans were hybrid versions.

On the other hand, the Porsche 911 saw a decline in deliveries, with 11390 units delivered, reducing by 12% compared to the same period last year. The sales data showed that the Taycan model decreased slightly from last year, but it still maintained its position as a top seller. The Cayenne saw an even bigger drop, decreasing by 28%.

When looking at regional sales, North America remains Porsche's largest market, with deliveries increasing on-year by 37% to reach 20698 units. In contrast, the China market experienced a significant decline of 42%, from 9471 deliveries last year.

Worldwide, Porsche has seen a decline in deliveries of around 8% compared to the same period last year. However, each region still maintains its market share.

Speaking about the future strategy, the executive board member overseeing sales and marketing at Porsche Group, Matthias Becker, expressed his vision that by 2030, the company will continue to introduce new variants of cars such as the 718 Boxster/Cayman, 911 and Cayenne.
