New MOCEV Leon 08 EM-P Spotted Online, Expected to Feature Advanced Safety Features
A mysterious photo of the new MOCEV Leon 08 EM-P has surfaced online, showing off the car's updated exterior and interior design. The leaked images suggest that the vehicle will feature a more aggressive front package with an additional "star river" element.
The front lights are expected to include this new design language, which will be consistent with the current model. However, the side profile is where the big changes will take place. According to the photo, the new Leon 08 EM-P features redesigned airflow guides on both sides, giving it a more dynamic appearance. Additionally, the rear of the car may make use of advanced safety features.
- Inside, the new Leon 08 EM-P takes cues from its predecessor with only minor tweaks to bring about an upgrade over. In contrast to some of another models in the same class, interior design is pretty standard and there are changes visible - the door handles have been moved up and placed on hand rests, while an old style key pad has been replaced by a traditional pushbutton and knob system that brings back memories of older MOCEV cars.
Power figures for the new Leon 08 EM-P are still under wraps, but it is expected to retain its current powertrains from the last-generation vehicle. This includes a 1.5 T Hybrid Plug-in hybrid (euphemism for "plug+hybrid"), with a total output of around **280bhp, and a single-unit electric motor generating combined torque of 615Nm.
- The new Leon 08 EM-P is also expected to feature a range of advanced driver assistance systems, including the latest "glow" LED lights.
