Get Ready for 2025 Guangdong-Hong Kong Macau Auto Expo: Xiaomi's New Flagship, the YU7, Revealed and Hits Shelves in July

Xiaomi's Yu 7 Debuts at Guangzhou Auto Show

A brand-new addition to the automotive landscape, Xiaomi's Yu 7 made its public debut at the recent 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show. Although pre-registrations are now open for the model, it is not yet available for sale. An official release date has been set for July.

When viewed from different angles, the exterior design of the new car features a closed front grille. The LED daytime running lights inside the headlights follow a crisscross pattern, and there's also a continuous intake channel in the front hatch that runs all the way to the roof. To accommodate large electric front trunks, the company used a clamshell-inspired front lid with an area of up to 3.11 square meters. Underneath the hood will be available trunk space for up to 141 liters.

The side profile is more traditional, following classic SUV lines but keeping a streamlined silhouette due to advanced aerodynamics techniques.

When viewed from its rear end, the design takes a unique approach, where there's double layer shock-absorber technology placed underneath as well.

Inside the vehicle, it places an emphasis on carefully selecting its choice of exterior and interior materials, integrating these into overall luxury aesthetics. Furthermore, incorporating more intuitive functions with automotive innovations; users will benefit from comprehensive displays that provide superior clarity and comprehension of data within every dashboard display screen.

The car is equipped with advanced safety features. This includes automatic emergency braking, cross-traffic warning, parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, lane departure prevention and a smart driver's eye system. Additionally it comes with 3G/4G connectivity for real time internet support.

There are currently two possible versions of the Yu7; both powered solely by Li-ion Batteries. Each design choice allows users to have better flexibility regarding their preferences or lifestyles (i.e., front-wheel drive and rear-wheel), driving habits (rear-wheel drive gives better grip in snowy conditions).

A full rundown of specifications is yet to come, though with a target price range starting at $25,000.

The all-new Xiaomi Yu7's release is set for July.
