The first quarter of 2024 has seen a significant rise in sales for several major automotive brands, with a notable increase in electric vehicle (EV) adoption.

G AC Group reported a total sales volume of 946,627 units in the first quarter, marking a 31% year-over-year growth. This represents a notable milestone for the company, with EV sales accounting for 49% of its overall sales.

Breaking down the numbers, G AC Group's standalone passenger vehicle sales reached 703,824 units, up 48% from the same period last year. The company's electric vehicles accounted for an impressive 135% growth, with a total of 339,200 units sold under the brand.

Brand-wise, Geely-branded vehicles outsold all other brands combined in Q1, accounting for 589,813 units sold. Polestar extreme model, representing part of that was at 41,403 numbers while Le Cheng car took 72,608 vehicle sales, with a strong show-case on electric vehicles.
