Polestar 7 Teased: Electric SUV Twin Wins World Interior Design Award with Volvo XC60 Shared Platform

Polestar 7 Preview Released, Showcasing Family Design DNA and Unique Features

The latest preview image of the Polestar 7 has been released, revealing the electric SUV's family design DNA and distinctive features. According to sources close to the matter, this vehicle will sit as a compact pure electric SUV in the lineup.

With production slated for Volvo Cars' new factory currently under construction in Slovakia, the Polestar 7 will mark the brand's first model to be produced on European soil. Initially, all Polestar models were manufactured by Volvo Cars and Geely at their respective Chinese and American factories, with some variants also sourced from Korean facilities.

However, this strategic move is designed specifically for the European market, where it will undergo local production, providing a key factor in the brand's plans to increase sales substantially. The Polestar 7, scheduled to debut on the Volvo EX60 platform in 2028, promises enhanced interoperability and flexibility over the SPA3 architecture.

Utilizing advanced forging techniques, this new model aims to meld vehicle body and battery into one cohesive unit, supplemented by an independently developed electric motor from Polestar. Furthermore, it will feature Volvo's brand-new Superset technology, incorporating both hardware and software elements for seamless continued upgrade capabilities via OTA updates.
