The Byd Hiyac 07 DM-i is set to launch on May 8, marking the arrival of this new generation of mid-sized SUVs from the Chinese automaker. The vehicle has been open for pre-orders, offering an assortment of incentives such as zero down payment or 0% interest loan rates up to RMB 15,000.
Design-wise, the Hiyac 07 DM-i adheres to Byd's "Oceanic Aesthetic" design philosophy, featuring a sleek and aggressive front-end with a single-piece LED headlight strip. The rear end is marked by a prominent tail light bar, complemented by a subtle spoiler for a sportier look.
Measuring at 4880/1920/1750mm in length, width, and height respectively, the Hiyac 07 DM-i has an impressive silhouette that is instantly recognizable. Its sizeable dimensions are accentuated further with dual-tone wheel design and distinctive D-pillar details.
Upon entering, passengers are greeted by Byd's signature "Ice World" dashboard layout, designed to resemble a winter wonderland. The instrument cluster boasts a 10.25-inch Full HD screen embedded in a frameless design, paired with an optional large-scale floating infotainment display of 15.6 inches. Furthermore, the vehicle is equipped with Byd's advanced AI-powered voice assistant system, DiLink 100, to provide users with a seamless and intelligent driving experience.
The Hiyac 07 DM-i comes standard-equipped with Byd's "Mingyun Eye" driver assistance technology, offering drivers three variants of its systems - Mingyun Eye B, C, and E. The smart technologies include advanced city route management, smart obstacle avoidance, lane departure warning, and more.
Under the hood, the Hiyac 07 DM-i is powered by a Byd fifth-generation direct-motor plug-in hybrid system. Two engine options are available – one using a 1.5T inline engine producing maximum power of 115kW, accompanied by an electric motor generating 200kW; another featuring four-wheel-drive configuration with similar specifications.
The all-wheel-drive or two-wheel-drive variants offer efficient and exciting driving experiences, paired with up to 1350km worth of electric range at CLTC certification.
