Beijing Officials Announce Results of 2025 First Quarter Carpool Index Application Evaluation and Allocation

On June 25, the Beijing Traffic Administration released a circular regarding the evaluation and allocation results of ordinary passenger car index applications for the first quarter of 2025. According to the amended Implementing Regulations of the Temporary Provision on the Control of the Number of Passengers' Vehicles in Beijing, the following details are announced:

The Allocation Process

The allocation process will take place on June 26th at 10:00, based on "open, fair, and just" principles. The selection process involves publicly visible measures, including a witnessed presence by certified personnel, the generation of random numbers, and the announcement of allocation results.

The public will be allowed to attend the site where media is present.

Allocated Numbers

As of March 8th, 2025 at 23:59 PM, there were 563334 family passenger car index applications that were found valid by evaluation and 2568088 personal passenger car index applications. 41142 corporate businesses had been allocated units for passenger cars.

The results have already announced on May 25th.

Results

The number of cars to be assigned in this batch is 9600, which are separated into family passengers and personal passengers; and 400 for corporate passengers.

Available Methods of Inquiry

One hour after the completion of the configuration task, the applicants can access and download the results via the small program of Beijing Traffic Index Control Management System or go to the office in public areas (available times and locations can also be found on the homepage of the official system "column for affairs to settle")

Alternatively, users may call 12580 phone number and inquire about configuration data.

It is suggested that applications use peak-time inquiry as they would face high website traffic.

Guidelines

The family applicant who signs the allocation form will go through a verification procedure based on relatives' identity by relevant departments after their approved form being delivered. Then an assigned notice of allocation confirmation has been sent to the unit, household or person.

They can obtain printed notification from Beijing's index control management system for free, or take along their valid identity document to public offices to get it.

Additional Information

According to Beijing city high level Court Ordinance of Beijing Administration on Restriction Participation in Public Resources Allocation (京高法发〔2018〕74号), during this year, within the total of 5396 participants who had been listed as "lost cause persons according law", all have been reviewed by Beijing Traffic index.
