Volvo XC30 Sees Over-the-Air (OTA) Software Update with New Features

A recent OTA update has become available for the Volvo XC30, bringing a range of exciting new features to the table. According to official sources, these updates will be rolled out to affected models, enhancing the driving experience and user interaction.

In this latest software upgrade, mobile key functionality has been added, allowing iPhone users to use their device as a mobile key. This feature allows drivers to unlock and start their vehicle from a distance of up to 1.5 meters, with the vehicle automatically activating its headlights and warming up the seats when approaching. Furthermore, wireless CarPlay integration can now be activated directly through this feature.

In addition, remote control for the air conditioning has been added as an optional feature, enabling users to schedule their preferred temperature settings, which will also activate the heating function. Moreover, a power management system will now alert drivers via colored signals when the battery level is low or running out of charge.

Another key update includes a new personalized notification system and safety driver assistance. Upon pressing, users can choose to receive alerts for traffic conditions in their rearview mirror. The system also comes with additional features such as an RCTA (Reverse Collision Alert) warning light, which can be activated from the side mirrors when leaving the vehicle parked or at low speeds.

Finally, improvements have been made to NFC card functionality, enabling drivers to start and shut off their vehicle more conveniently without having to spend any time charging their phone.
