Shanghai, May 31 — Shanghai Peng Xia Ai Automobile Co., Ltd., a leading Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, announced its first quarter delivery numbers on May 29. According to the company, 35,045 new vehicles were delivered in April, a year-on-year growth of 273 percent and a month-over-month jump of 6 percent.

The Peng Xia Ai MONA M03, which has been on sale for eight months now, has already exceeded the cumulative delivery milestone of 100,000 units. The company's P7+ model, launched five months ago, recently reached its fifth delivery milestone with a new vehicle being sent to customers.

Sales Breakdown and Industry Trends

For the first quarter of 2025, Shanghai Peng Xia Ai Automobile recorded a total of 129,053 deliveries, showing a year-on-year growth of 313 percent. Last month's sales figure marked a significant breakthrough, as the company surpassed 700,000 vehicle units delivered since its inception.

Advancements in Technology and Future Plans

Shanghai Peng Xia Ai recently disclosed its technological developments in areas of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) for both autonomous driving and artificial intelligence (AI). Furthermore, the company announced that it would begin mass production of its AI chip by the second half of 2025.

The launch of the 2025 model year Shanghai Peng Xia Ai X9 took place recently, featuring four different versions: a 650-mile Max variant, a 740-mile long-range version with extended range capabilities, a 702 high-performance variant with all-wheel drive, and a limited-edition special edition. Officials provided a price list ranging from CNY35,980 to CNY41,980.

Only seven days after its official release, Shanghai Peng Xia Ai X9 secured orders for 6,000 vehicles within China alone, further confirming the exceptional demand for its latest model in Asia.

Sales figures for XNGP City AI smart driving service reached 84% utilization rate during the first month of use. The company now offers a paid service priced at only CNY239 per year, providing users with a wide range of functionalities including comprehensive insurance coverage and unlimited claims.

Shanghai Peng Xia Ai is taking steps to enhance after-sales services throughout the May Day holiday period, featuring 24/7 roadside support, complimentary vehicle health checks, self-service super charging stations, and other exclusive benefits for drivers.
