Gearvans GAC New Forth 08 Launches on July 9th

The long-awaited GAC New Forth 08, a rebranded version of the M8 and Toward M8 series, is set to debut on July 9th. According to sources familiar with the matter, this new model is expected to follow the design direction previously seen in the M8 series and will feature the Huawei iSeaMon cabin system.

In terms of powertrain, the upcoming New Forth 08 is rumored to be equipped with a 2.0T engine combined with an electric motor, giving rise to its hybrid plug-in eXtended range, (PHEV).

Apart from this configuration, we were informed that it would include Huawei iSeaMon seat system. The iSeaMon feature will allow users to connect and participate in meeting via phone.

The Toward M8 series has officially been launched since the beginning of June, featuring three variants: a price range between 3.5 million - 4 million CNY. The base Toward model features a 2.0T insertmixture four-cylinder engine plus an electric drive system, achieving a driving range of up to 248 kilometers when using only electricity, from level one battery charging at the lowest level, it would take around 15 minutes to reach full charge 80%, however it also has a remote power-out function on-board.

The main rival cars for this car type and brand will include Tengzhè D9 and Le Méritage Dream Family.
