Xiaomi Unveils MIU 7, A Futuristic Electric Vehicle
On May 22nd, Lei Jun, the founder of Xiaomi, hinted at the expected launch date of its upcoming electric vehicle, MIU 7. In a personal social media post, Lei Jun mentioned that the MIU 7 is supposedly scheduled to arrive in stores in July.
During the company's strategic sales event held on May 22nd, no official prices for the MIU 7 were announced, nor was any of its features revealed beforehand.
The name MIU 7 translates to "land battle tank, running with wind" in Chinese. When it comes to dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,999 x 1,996 x 1,600mm and has an axle length of 3,000mm.
Under its powertrain, MiU 7 is powered by a fully electric system with a range of up to 770km, 760km, and 675km. The vehicle boasts a battery capacity of 96.3kWh, offering options for single and dual electric motors.
The two-electric motor variant offers an all-wheel-drive capability, achieving a combined output of 508 kW. This top-of-the-line model is equipped with a three-stage lithium battery. On the other hand, the front and rear dual electric motors drive variant have a total power output of 365kW. The single-motor rearwheel-drive version produces around 235kW, paired with an iron-phosphate lithium battery.
