China Solicits Feedback on Plans to Revise Automotive Standards for Fuel Cells and Electric Vehicles
Beijing – The National Standards Certification Administration (NSCA) of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has announced an open solicitation seeking feedback from industry stakeholders on proposed revisions to four mandatory national standards.
The solicitation is part of the MIIT's 2025 seventh batch of compulsory standard revamp plans, which include revisions to four sets of mandatory national standards covering fuel cell electric vehicles, electric motorcycles and scooters, liquefied petroleum gas vehicles, and three-wheeled motorbikes with fixed cabins.
Specifically targeted for revision are:
- Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles Safety Standard
- Electric Motorcycles and Scooters and Charging Equipment Safety Standard
- Road Transport of Liquid Hazards in Cylindrical Containers For Motor Carriages On Public Roads
- Three-Wheeled Motorbikes With Fixed Cabins - Safety Harnesses And Attachment Points
Industry stakeholders are invited to submitted their opinions on these proposed revisions.
