Revolutionizing Style: Mazda Eunos 60 Officially Unveiled on April 23rd

Mazda Promises a New Era for Electric and Hybrid Vehicles with the Arrival of the EZ-60

Mazda has officially unveiled its latest electric SUV, the EZ-60, at an upcoming event on April 23. This crossover is set to be a global hit, and will be exported overseas under the CX-6e nameplate.

Unique Platform and Technology

The Mazda EZ-60 is built on the same platform as the popular EZ-6 hybrid model, with both vehicles sharing the same long An EPA platform. This means the new car inherits several advancements from its predecessor, such as enhanced power generation capabilities from a regenerative e drivetrain system, with an extended combined distance under climatic conditions of up to 1301 km. The car also comes standard with L2 level driving assistance.

Innovative Design and Aesthetics

The EZ-60 takes cues from the "ARATA Created" concept model, featuring an extensive use of black trim elements and a pronounced front grille that echoes its predecessor's look while introducing new styling cues to better suit modern tastes. The sleek profile features wraparound taillamps and prominent skid plates for added sportiness.

Chassis Design

The side view reveals shorter A-pillars as well as shortened front end of the front bumper, creating more visual tension and a sportier image through a long C pillar, wider body track, narrower wheels that will further boost overall sportiness. Rearview LED lights are similar to those on the EZ-6 and feature a full range in terms of dimensions.

Powertrain Options

Mazda will offer two electric powertrains for the EZ-60: Plug-in variants with an option to choose between extended electric only (480km) mode or plug-in hybrid options which can do about 600 miles under the CLTC rating system (hybrid driving).
