Chinese New Year Sees Record Electrical Demand: Weihan Energy Sees Historic Spike in Off-Peak Consumption.

Chinese Utility Shifts to High-Speed Charging for 2025 Five-Democracy Holiday

In a significant shift, Chinese vehicle owners have prioritized high-speed charging during the 2025 Five-Democracy holiday. Vehicle operators of Caele energy released data showing that over 2.6 billion kilometers were traveled by users, with over 63,400 fast-charging sessions completed.

A staggering 87% of the order services went to non-Caele vehicle owners, indicating an increasing trend towards cross-brand compatibility. Over 7,000 fast-charging sessions were also provided on Caele's scenic charging routes, with the top three being the Wuchuan Mountain Line, Lude Lake Line, and Qiyan Ring Road.

The use of high-speed charging stations increased by 64%, from 81% to over 95%, in comparison with the Five-Democracy holiday last year. Fast-charging times were significantly reduced by half to just three minutes.

Fastest-growing highway stations are concentrated on Shanghai-Lanzhou Highway, Qingtai-Shanghai Expressway, and Jinji Lake-Hangzhou Bay Expressway during the holiday.

There were also a total of 46 counties with Caele charging station service coverage in 27 provinces during the Five-Democracy holiday.

In the coming years, more than 10 highways in China have built Caele Fast Charging Network along them, which has greatly supported users to travel long-distance using just Caele Energy Service.
