Unleashing 700+ Horsepower: First Look at BMW's Mind-Blowing M3 Electric, Coming in 2027

BMW Reveals Future Electric Model, Set to Launch in March 2027

The first official images of the upcoming fully electric version of the BMW M3 have been leaked from a trusted channel. The production car is expected to be named iM3 and will come equipped with a dual-electric motor setup, producing a maximum power output of around 700 horsepower.

Scheduled to debut by March 2027, the new model marks an exciting development in the ongoing electrification saga at BMW.

Design-wise, the leaked images show that the interior is still largely under development phase. However, there is enough to be seen, with some key features visible. The car will likely retain its iconic mid-screen infotainment console, coupled with a brand-new vision bridge showcasing BMW’s forward-thinking design elements.

The directionals and steering wheel have undergone new suspension designs which seem well set for taking the performance driven experience over the next limit.

A detailed breakdown of its key features emerges upon reviewing recent information available about this latest development:

  • The upcoming model sports an angular take on the front-facing aspect, echoing BMW’s all-new NK Zeitgeist concept design. Yet importantly a lower frontal look which seems to mirror that of the previous iteration's front end, but with new elements visible throughout.
  • In terms of total weight, the updated car weighs in at 2675 kilograms. The front end is wider with a distinctive angular styling. The latest updates point towards greater potential on and around the track, with this updated release coming very much out of left field.

Other noteworthies seen from these tests are BMW’s adoption of new Michelin PSS5 high performance tire model currently being launched, its usage at front rear wheels (295/35×20). An added bonus is a unique opening charge socket which offers for easier charging sessions.

Please be sure to consider sharing your findings with us and look forward hearing from you soon.
