Battery Life Redefined: How Newcomer Haoyi HL Challenges Flagship Brands at a Fraction of the Price

Geely To Debut New SUV at 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show

Geely, a prominent Chinese automaker, will unveil its new electric SUV, the Halo HL, on April 12th in Guangzhou as part of the 2025 Guangzhou Automobile Exhibition. The Halo HL is the latest addition to Geely's lineup and has been available for pre-sale since previous months.

Design-wise, the new vehicle takes inspiration from the "terrestrial yacht" concept, featuring a closed front grille paired with an integrated LED light group that boasts a noticeable presence on the road. At the rear, the car features a trend-setting horizontal tail lamp layout alongside an aerodynamic design to increase visual appeal. The body color options for the new model include ocean blue, gray ice, deep sea green, and night shadow black.

Upon entering, passengers will find themselves surrounded by a floating dashboard, along with a 27-inch W-HUD top-view display system and a three-spoke steering wheel equipped with advanced driver assistance systems.

Inside, comfort and functionality converge, thanks in part to several innovative features. These include air conditioning, heated seats for every passenger, advanced interior lighting including ambient color temperature control via touch panel, an AI audio chipset, rearview camera, panoramic wind-shield window, and LED dashboard lighting. Rear seat space can accommodate five occupants at a 60:40 configuration or can be modified to a three-seat setting when needed.

To further boost practicality and driver convenience, the vehicle is equipped with several convenient features including Bluetooth connectivity and rear parking sensors (540°) for enhanced safety. It also has available climate-controlled leather upholstered seats, heated steering wheel grips, automatic temperature control, sunroof, and additional air conditioning control for maximum user preference.

Additionally, its advanced drive assist system includes lane departures warning/assist, collision prevention warnings, LED high beam assist as well as more features to further reduce the risk of an accident.

Geely Halo HL is set out over 5 different dimensions ranging from a length of 5126mm and 1990mm, with combined width and overall height making it relatively easy to park.

The electric vehicle in question will be available with both all-wheel drive (AWD) variants or as front-wheel all-wheel dynamic assist options for users seeking flexibility. Geely plans to launch the new battery powertrain in four different sizes, including smaller size units offering better fuel efficiency but less range and two longer-range packages including the 95.9kWh and the newer version of 108.35 kWh three-electrolith configuration.

These configurations can support both rapid charging technology as well as traditional high-speed recharging methods.
