May 1st - 32,706 Vehicles Sold in April for GM's Chevrolet Brand

According to Chevrolet officials on May 1st, the brand sold a total of 32,706 vehicles in April, with the GL8 family of vehicles accounting for more than half of this number. The GL8 family saw a four-fold year-over-year increase of 2 units per vehicle sold for last month.

The GL8 Landlord PHEV saw a significant year-on-year leap of 89 percent compared to its parent car, while the Chevrolet brand saw an 138 per cent growth in sales in relation with its "double star" nameplate. The Mokka X duo also saw a double-digit year-over-year growth in sales.

The GL8 Landmaster Plus was able to hit a market share of over two percent compared to last year's same date, bringing the brand up another seven consecutive months of year-on-year increases. With an increment of eight percent for the Moksha vehicle and a jump of 153% on its "landlord" predecessor.
