New Chevrolet E5 SUV to Feature Advanced Powertrain and Enhanced Features
The new Chevrolet E5, a midsize SUV from the carmaker's line-up, is set to launch with an all-new powertrain. The vehicle will be equipped with the General Motors' Omna 2.0 Multi-Environment Drive platform.
Electric Range and Charging Speed
According to officials from Chevrolet, the new E5 is expected to achieve a longest electric range of over 620 kilometers on a single charge. According to internal calculations, it should have an energy consumption as low as 13.4 kWh/100km, allowing for faster charging speeds. The vehicle will now boast an increased charging speed by 30%, with the ability to refill batteries from 30% to 80% in just 19 minutes.
Design and Features
Design-wise, the E5 has a sleek new look courtesy of Chevrolet's PURE Design language. The front face of the vehicle features closed-off grille mesh screens, LED headlights mounted on bodywork, high black skid plates for increased aggressive appeal. A sharp-cut shape is highlighted through vertical tail lights as well as three-section high-rise brake pedals further boosting style. For added elegance, external chrome-plated parts can be spotted.
In contrast with its predecessors the interior has undergone multiple overhauls. These refinements primarily concentrate on finer details. As a notable change, it introduces large 30inch All-in-One 6K resolution screen for integrated infotainment systems and enhances location navigation capabilities via High Definition maps while replacing passenger back seats to make room more accessible at an angle of 27 degrees.
