Volkswagen Group Unveils 7 Global-First Cars at Shanghai Auto Show
The Volkswagen Group has confirmed that it will unveil seven global-first production cars at the upcoming Shanghai Auto Show. Among these, five models will be unveiled during the group's media event on April 22nd.
Additionally, during the show, an advanced driver-assistance system specifically designed for the Chinese market will also be launched. This system has been joint-developed by Volkswagen Group's Chinese intelligent driving R&D cooperation, Cool Racing.
By 2027, more than 20 electric vehicles are expected to enter production under the Volkswagen brand. By 2030, around 30 pure electric models are planned to be available for market in China.
Volkswagen will showcase three new-generation smart network concept cars, each representing a different segment on offer in China, including luxury, SUVs and subcompact electric vehicles.
Audi E
Audi has confirmed its entry into mainland China with the Audi E model. This represents Volkswagen Group's first battery-electric passenger car model.
Additionally, a second electric vehicle from the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) based concept model will debut, and as well as a more general model by utilizing a different powertrains to meet user specific demand. Also new Audi Q5L is speculated with a possible launch in 2025.
And besides these models of the car manufacturer also had planned 3 more variant in its upcoming heritage design line up such which the famous one GT and another two concept vehicles will debut as well
