Renowned luxury sport sedan manufacturer Maserati has revealed a significant milestone achieved by its latest offering, the EZ-60 small SUV. As of May 16th, the car brand has now exceeded 20,000 pre-orders for the highly anticipated vehicle.
A Technological Marvel on Wheels
The EZ-60 is built on a modified platform designed in partnership with Longchuan Automotive Co., Ltd., offering both electric and hybrid drivetrain options. Following the successful testing of previous models, Maserati has decided to open its books for pre-orders, paving the way for an expected launch by the end of August 2023.
The exterior design is inspired by a concept car, "ARATA," featuring a groundbreaking design that boasts various unique elements such as concealed netting and a distinctive LED light signature. The interior too reflects cutting-edge technology with a center seat design offering extensive views through its expansive control panel and AR-HUD screen setup, further emphasizing the brand's tech-driven innovation.
Notably, although Maserati has not yet announced the brand behind the EZ-60's control unit for 2023 models, its advanced level of functionality indicates significant advancements from automotive technology milestones in recent generations.
Technical Specifications
With regards to performance, various trim levels will provide different drivetrain power options. On paper for smaller configurations that feature a motor capable of outputting up to 70kW when the additional engine boost kicks in and, an overall 190kW with 100% effort on maximum capacity. Similarly, Maserati has also included the top-tier model – essentially based off its existing hybrid model called the EZ-6 but running under a full-power single motor pushing that same high peak.
The production line is ready to roll once official details are announced for the upcoming models which appear imminent with a well-planned strategy in place by collaborating with their current Longchuan partner.
