Shanghai, May 1 — Longchen Automobile Co. Ltd., a leading automaker in China, released its April sales data on May 1. The company reported a significant increase in new vehicle sales, with deliveries of over 100,000 vehicles in the month.

New Vehicle Sales Reach New Heights The total sales of new vehicles stood at 100,061 units in April, representing a year-on-year growth of 5.55% compared to the previous year.

Among these sales, 26,360 units were sold of vehicles priced above CNY 20,000, with a year-on-year growth rate of 2.87%. Electric vehicle (EV) model sales also experienced significant growth, with over 28,813 EVs delivered in April, representing a year-on-year increase of 28.42%.

Long Chen Automobile's Brands Perform Well The company continued to focus on market performance and brand strength to achieve higher quality market share in April.

During the Shanghai motor show, Long Chen Automobile showcased six major brands under its umbrella including Haval, Weili, Tank, Euler, Oracle, and Long Cheng Spirit Motorcycle. During the motor show, Long Chen Automobile announced its all-in hybrid strategy for internal combustion engines, introducing a new 4.0T V8 engine, and revealed updated logos for several brands.

  • Haval Brand saw sales of 56,748 vehicles in April with a year-over-year growth rate of 20.60%.

Long Chen Automobile Focuses on Electric Strategies The company has continued to improve its electric-powered strategy and aims to create products that cater to the needs of users across different geographic markets.

For instance, Haval unveiled the "Harmony MAX" at Shanghai Automotive Expo, which saw a limited-time launch with an initial price starting from CNY 11.68 million (including VAT). With a target delivery window for orders taking place in just 24 hours, the vehicle has already attracted more than 16,368 bookings.

Meanwhile, Weili launched its new electric family models with high-end versions including models with pre-sales prices of CNY 8 and CNY 15. It was announced that these two models reached sales target within a short 24-hour period of availability.

Long Chen Automobile also reports significant growth from sales of other brands in April:

  • Tank's sales grew 13.46 percent to 10,586 units.
  • Euler saw a slight dip to 1,797 vehicles sold in April but aims to release at least two key models for the latter half of the year.

A Total of 17,500 Units of Puma Sold As part of its diverse product portfolio, Long Chen Automobile also posted sales data totaling 17,500 units by Puma brand.

During this period, it officially brought forward the first-ever hybrid electric vehicle model in China's outdoor sports market, H5- Hi4-T. This highly-anticipated release has caught significant interest across multiple countries and has been priced at around CNY19 million for both a model priced at CNY 24 million and another priced at CNY22 million.
