New 2024 Haval Max Launches in April: Priced from $13,888

Haval Second-Generation HARVESTMAX To Debut on April 16th with Price Starting at RMB13,880

The official launch date for the second-generation Haval HARVESTMAX has been set for April 16th. Pre-sales for the vehicle had already begun, offering a range of five models priced between RMB13,880 and RMB17,680.

The all-new model boasts an upgraded second-generation Hi4 plug-in hybrid powertrain system across its entire lineup, complemented by the Coffee Pilot Plus intelligent driving assistant system.

Upon closer inspection, the exterior design has undergone significant updates. The new car's "Natural Elegance Movement" language takes cues from celestial bodies like the sky, ocean, stars, and shooting stars. A palette of five distinct colors awaits, including Remote Mountain Grey, Crystal Ice White, Misty Sea Green, Illusory Night Black, and Celestial Green.

The lighting system features a new array of high-intensity LED headlights colloquially known as "Dindar's Light". Boasting 72 individual LEDs for a luminosity output of 4000 lumens, they are positioned to illuminate the road ahead at a distance of 190 meters. Two side sills equipped with aerodynamic winglets will further augment the vehicle's dynamism.

When viewed from the sides, the new model features a floating car roof, drawing inspiration from ocean-dwelling creatures. The design aims to enhance airflow and reduce drag, while also subtly emphasizing the overall stance of the vehicle. Low-lighting lines merge harmoniously with aerodynamic principles, creating an unmistakable aura of motion.

In terms of dimensions, the Haval HARVESTMAX boasts a lengthy build of 4,780mm x 1,895mm x 1,725mm with a wheelbase spanning 2,810mm. The vehicle is classified as a midsize SUV.

Among other key features are the availability of various 19-inch alloy wheels and the unique "Scarlet Star River" flash tail lamp, featuring an astonishing 332 LED lights set against a diamond-cut light pattern.

Inside, the HARVESTMAX comes fitted with dual screens boasting sizes of 12.3 inches and 14.6 inches respectively, running on AI HUD with adaptive head-up display functions and Coffee OS 3 for immersive driving experiences. Color palettes span sky blue, mountain valley brown and dark exploration black.

Both seats, whether up front or rear, feature cushioning designed using polyurethane foam to meet the needs of comfort, while seat adjustments come with advanced configurations. The vehicle's interior further expands with ambient sound and heated seating features across the lineup.

The CAR technology has been taken to a high level. Haval HARVESTMAX now incorporates a comprehensive Coffee Pilot Plus intelligent driving assistance system that can detect at speeds of over 160 kilometers-hrour through its vision-based approach, learning patterns on city roads before offering optimal route guidance. Even when using conventional vehicle maneuvers in urban environments, automatic lane guiding will also be implemented.

Engine capabilities have seen several strides forward, too. With the Haval HARVESTMAX coming equipped with a plug-in hybrid (PiH) system comprising of a second-generation 1.5-liter HEV and 150 kW power output from an all-wheel-drive propulsion unit, it promises to deliver driving sensations at levels not yet witnessed within this tier.

Efficiency has further been refined through optimization techniques leading to low fuel consumption per use in excess of RMB4.2 per 100 kilometers under optimal operating conditions with CLTC estimated range figures reaching a respectable maximum range length of approximately 165 kilometres in full electric mode.
