Unleash Power: Official Sneak Peek of China's Latest 2WD & 4WD SUVs with Capacity for Up to 8 Passengers

Mercedes-AMG Unveils Official Teaser Images of VLE Electric Vehicle

Mercedes-AMG has released official teaser images of its upcoming VLE electric vehicle, marking the beginning of a new era for the brand. The VLE is set to replace the current V-Class model and will be built on a brand-new platform called VAN.EA.

The VLE is expected to support an 800V charging system, providing both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive options. The vehicle can accommodate up to eight passengers and is slated for introduction in China before making its way to other markets.

A more premium variant of the VLE, dubbed VLS, will also follow its release. Although details are scarce, Mercedes-AMG has promised a luxurious interior complete with sleek lines and advanced features.

Through these teaser images, several key design elements have been revealed, including a unique sealed-behind front grille and distinct rear lights. The VLE boasts sloping front doors, a streamlined silhouette, and slim side windows compared to the existing V-Class model.

Additional design touches include a sloping roofline seamlessly integrated with the tapered windshield and distinctive door handles that are concealed when not in use. Other notable features can be seen in the tail section of the vehicle, where an underflow diffuser supports sleek rear LED lights arranged vertically on the trunk lid.

According to insiders, the production VLE will be powered by Mercedes' advanced 800V architecture; it will support both front-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive configurations. The new electric vehicles are also equipped with cutting-edge software, as demonstrated by the latest MBOS operating system.

While details on the specifications of VLE remain somewhat scarce, it is worth noting that the brand has shared an anecdotal account of its prototype's impressive range capabilities: a full 1,090 kilometers were achieved over the course of nearly two hours during driving from Stutgart to Rome with only frequent - albeit accelerated - brief resupply intervals through a high-speed fast charging station.
