New Energy SUV MG ES5 Launched with Affordable Price Tag

On June 25, the team at SAIC Motors informed us about the new limited-time subsidy for their latest compact SUV, the MG ES5. With a starting price of 8.99 yuan and additional up to 20,000 yuan in national subsidies, the minimum retail price has dropped to just 6.99 yuan.

From an exterior perspective, the MG ES5 boasts a fresh design language with modern features such as dual body-housed headlights and sealed front ends that give it a typical new energy vehicle appearance. The rear-end has been designed with sequential brake lights, with the left and right seventh-generation wheel designs mirroring each other. In terms of size, the car measures 4476mm in length, 1849mm in width, and 1621mm in height, while featuring an axle-to-vehicle ratio of 2730mm.

Inside the cabin, the new SUV will come equipped with two colorways: the polyurethane-like "Bao Mian" and the beige-like "Moen Yin Grey". No matter which option you prefer, they're sure to match your unique lifestyle. Moreover, it will be equipped with a digital instrument cluster, large medium-width central screen etc., and a Malmar smart car machine MAXversion system that achieves 90-second consecutive conversation without any disturbance.

In terms of configuration, MG ES5 has an electric motor all-wheel drive system; the max output power reaches 125 KW, peak torque is 250 N·m; when accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 8 seconds. Meanwhile, with advanced technology support such as intelligent cruise control assistance, rear collision pre-warnings, side turn-off warnings and door openness pre-warming, it sets new standards in this competitive segment.

Furthermore, MG ES5 is built on top of the SAIC High-end "Xiu Yun Architecture" framework. It features a unique LBS sleeper battery case, reducing heat contact area by 70% to effectively eliminate potential thermal control risks from the starting point.
