Byd's New Mid-Sized SUV Launched at 2025 Qingdao Auto Show

Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Byd is set to unveil its new mid-sized SUV, dubbed as "Haiyang 06EV", at the upcoming 2025 Qingdao International Automobile Exhibition on June 7th. This new model can be viewed as a sibling car of the existing QinL EV and falls under the Ocean Network label.

Design-wise, the Haiyang 06EV adopts a family-like design style, equipped with enclosure front grille paired with a large set of headlights, accompanied by below three-segment air intakes, creating an exhilarating dynamic feel. The side profile boasts a full new-style car door handle mechanism that optimizes aerodynamics. Meanwhile, the rear section adopts a classic Ocean theme and showcases double L-shaped internal light structure for better recognition. Furthermore, this new model can be optionally equipped with triple cameras, paired with Byd’s Heaven's Eye C high-end smart driving system and equipped with speed regulation.

The interior takes on the family-like design style as well and equips a large full-screen instrument cluster coupled with swiveling huge size monitor, presenting superior recognition. The car will also feature smartphone wireless charging configuration to enhance daily driving convenience.

In terms of dimension, the new SUV measures 4720mm in length, 1880mm in width, and 1495mm in height with axle distance measuring 2820mm. Power-wise, this model utilizes e-platform3.0 Evo framework with largest driving motor power valued at 160kW. Currently, Byd has not disclosed any detail regarding its range, but the media will keep following up closely.
