Two New SUV Models from Hyundai Kia Launch, Featuring Advanced Technology and Design Features

On May 21st, officially confirmed by the car manufacturer, two new compact SUVs - the new ES6 and EC6 models have begun production. These two cars were already launched in previous phases, with the new ES6 available starting at RMB 338,000, available through a battery rental plan at 268,000 RMB; while the new EC6 starts at RMB 358,000, available through a battery rental plan at 288,000 RMB.

Compared to their predecessors, both cars have undergone significant changes. The headlamps on each car now adopt four-prong shapes and are equipped with air intakes under them to reduce wind resistance. Daytime running lights also underwent minor adjustments to increase the frontal area of their headlights, thereby improving visibility. Furthermore, the new EC6's daytime running lights have a unique design set apart from the new ES6. New car color schemes include the lunar silver paint job which is accompanied by changes in bright black hue accents on front and Rear trim, including wheel arches and mirrors for improved depth sense. The interior features all-new 21 inch W wheels as part of updated appearance elements like a larger orange disc ABS-braking discs, LED welcome ambient lighting at low speeds.

Inside, the two cars are equipped with a 15.6 inches AMOLED screen (3K resolutions), its UI been upgraded and enhanced to include gesture handling along with multi-screen functionality while maintaining support for hand gestures. Their central screens also saw an upgrade to the NOMI Mate 3.0 system, providing improved emotional value while new functionalities can be found including one-touch electronic parking assist. Furthermore, steering columns were updated too as was its digital instrumentation from a traditional display format and some of these functions could now activate with the push of single keys which displayed graphics in W-HUD at low speed levels.

The two new models are equipped with the Chinese eDrive platform using the Hyundai Kia EC 9003 chip combined with 29 sensor systems that feature laser sensors, rear cameras, advanced image sensor capabilities and other electronic control systems such as radar and 4D imaging radar that provide improved functions like lane-keeping support in urban areas, navigation during driving on highways and parking lots while offering a smoother, more enjoyable experience for the user. The new car's powertrain will be retained with two engines still equipped across to ensure the vehicle maintains reliability and efficiency.

Two separate battery options are available as well with CLTC estimated range of electric distances of 930/935/505/630km respectively at three levels and with their different battery sizes and weights offering varying energy capacity, they provide a variety for some consumers depending on their driving needs.
