Red Flag's New Techenet 06 Model Launched in China
A new report from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MII) has uncovered images of the upcoming Guangzhou Red Flag Techenet 06, a newly upgraded version of the vehicle's powertrain system. The main upgrades focus on boosting performance, with significant increases seen in two-wheel drive models.
Compared to the current model, the new Techenet 06 retains its exterior design. Upon closer inspection, the vehicle measures 4750mm long, 1900mm wide, and 1640mm tall, boasting a wheelbase of 2900mm. The available wheel designs will be either 235/55 R19 or 235/50 R20.
In terms of powertrains, single-motor models are expected to see an increase in maximum output from 340kW for each motor to the left and rear axle, respectively. This represents a boost of approximately 58 kW over certain competitors. The double-electric model will feature its motors producing a combined output of 190kW on the front and 340kW on the rear, which compares favorably against some rivals, particularly when paired with new-generation six or seven-speed automatic transmissions.
Currently, the starting price range for the Guangzhou Techenet is between ¥17.98 million and ¥22.58 million, depending on certain trim options that feature various engine specifications that include the previously mentioned uprates to 210 kW across some base models.
