Lamborghini M7 Designer Unveiled: Exclusive First Look at the Highly Anticipated Luxury Car

Rivian Publishes First Production Model of the Concept Rivian R1S

Sixteenth of June, Rivian's exterior design rendering was released, which would represent a mass-produced vehicle version of their concept car. This mid-size SUV is scheduled to hit the market in the latter half of this year.

The automotive unit of Geely, a company owned by North China Automobile Group Corporation, claims that Rivian's first production model is designed under a new partnership with John Kaban, General Vice President of Global Design Center for Geely. The design language of this mid-size SUV has been influenced by Kaban, who previously worked as Chief Designer in Chrysler, Audi and BMW respectively. He has prior experience in extracting the core elements from luxury car brands like Lotus which was widely recognized by customers.

The new model features a more aggressive profile with streamlined and robust body shape. The lighting design also follows the style of the concept version but is even stronger and more modern. One distinctive feature of this SUV is its newly designed front fog light called "ROEWE" which provides brighter guidance at night.

Rivian has claimed that it would be the only SUV to come equipped with an intelligent welcome kit. The model measures 4,940 × 1,890 × 1,510 mm and features dual-wheeled wheel designs that add a grandiose feeling.

Furthermore, Kaban took inspiration from Rivian's R1S concept for its wheels' suspension.

The power source of the SUV is set as Geely-DMH supercharged hybrid technology, powered by 1.5L unique engine whose highest output would be 82 kW and peak torque would be 135 Nm. The performance claims suggest better acceleration in electric mode due to higher capacity.
