Xiaomi Reveals Yu 7, a Sleek and Powerful Version of the Mi SUV

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi, recently unveiled its latest offering, the Yu 7, which boasts an impressive array of features that elevate it above its predecessor, the Mi SU7. While the Yu 7 shares some similarities with the Su series, it presents itself in a more dynamic and sporty manner, complete with a striking dashboard configuration.

Pricing and Availability

Prices for the new vehicle are expected to hover between $30-40 million, with formal production set to kick off within June-July 2025.

Interior Features

One of the most noticeable aspects of the Yu 7 is its sporty, aerodynamic interior design, marked by several changes:

  • Instrument Panel: The dashboard features a simplified instrument panel and replaced by an in-dash windshield-mounted projective screen.

  • **Front Windshield Displays The front windshield displays a projection from the projector situated at the lower center. Front windows have an outer strip that offers data such as mileage, speed, infographics and music videos using vehicle computerized multimedia functions.

  • Driving instruments:

Direction: The steering wheel features additional functionality with flip-up leather trim for better support during racing driving sessions. Buttons for cruise control are optimized to take up minimal space within the circular console surface where drivers can easily switch from driving mode to assistive driving modes. The rearview mirrors have a small digital display screen that offers various information such as vehicle speed, time remaining on the current journey, energy level etc.

  • Central Screen: The middle of the control panel is replaced with a smaller control unit which allows easier handling and provides information. If drivers require the complete information needed in driving for road safety and driving efficiency purposes (e.g., navigation data displayed), they can select to use this system, turning off any necessary settings at will.

Other noticeable features on both versions of Mi include: larger front tires than its predecessor; a stylish exterior wrap-out on door panels; three-dimensional front headlights arranged with an upper air intake; advanced LED taillights.

The Yu7 also sports various other new design elements such as: slim LED taillamps; and more, giving potential buyers much motivation behind purchasing this latest release.
