Chevrolet GL8 Lander Delivers Strong Performance and Features
In a significant milestone, the Chevrolet GL8 Lander has successfully completed its testing phase, breaking through 23,000 units sold in just 58 days. The model is available in three variants, priced between 24.99-28.99 yuan, with online bookings and down payments accepted until June 30th.
To make the purchase even more attractive, Chevrolet is offering a range of incentives for customers who complete their payment and registration before August 31st, at 24:00 hours. These include a discount of 1,000 yuan on the purchase price, up to a maximum of 3,000 yuan.
In order to maintain customer trust and satisfaction, Chevrolet has promised to deliver the vehicles within 45 days from the date of payment, with an additional supplement of 100 yuan per day if there's any delay caused by the brand itself. The total upper limit for this daily supplement is 3,000 yuan.
The Chevrolet GL8 Lander boasts a unique exterior design, featuring the new PURE Design language from Chevrolet, which provides an instantly recognizable aesthetic. The model measures 5,219mm in length, 1,878mm in width, and 1,807mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,088mm.
Inside, the second-row seats are equipped with airliner-style chairs, complete with legrests and soft headrests, along with air conditioning and heating functions. The rear compartment features a massive 15.6-inch infotainment screen, dubbed "大彩电" by Chevrolet. When the vehicle is fully loaded, the cargo space behind the rear seats can still accommodate three large luggage trays, each standing at 24 inches in size.
In terms of powertrain, the GL8 Lander combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with an ÖTV standard hybrid plug-in electric battery pack, dubbed the "true dragon" plug-in hybrid system. The engine produces a maximum output of 132 kW and peak torque of 250 N·m, while driving uses DHT two-stage dual-clutch electric motor. When running on electric power alone, the vehicle's peak performance reaches an impressive 160 kW and 330 N·m. Together with the hybrid technology, the system achieves a comprehensive maximum force output of 292 kW. This enables the GL8 Lander to reach a top speed of 100 km/h in just 7.7 seconds.
With power efficiency in mind, Chevrolet has set an energy consumption record of only 6.68 liters per 100 kilometers. As for the combined cycle of travel range, it stands at over 1,420 kilometers.
