Audi Q8 e-tron production variant spotted, expected to launch in 2025

A series of spy shots of a suspected production version of the Audi Q8 e-tron has surfaced online, revealing the upcoming mid-size luxury SUV's design and tech features.

The Q8 e-tron is set to be powered exclusively by electric motors, with a planned launch date for 2025. The production variant appears to have retained much of its concept car styling, featuring a distinctive front fascia with a prominent LED light bar, angular taillamps, and a sloping rear roofline.

The side profile boasts a more substantial look, showcasing Audi's take on the travel car design philosophy. A subtle dip at the rear roof section creates a visually dynamic effect, while a chunky slope and large diffuser-mounted air splitter reinforce the vehicle's sporty character.

Upon closer inspection, it becomes apparent than many of the design cues are more pronounced when viewed up close.

Moving to the powertrain, Audi has confirmed that the Q8 e-tron will be equipped with dual electric motors, boasting an impressive 0-100km/h sprint time of just 3.6 seconds. The 100kWh battery pack is likely to provide a range in excess of 700 kilometers on the WLTP cycle.

To complement its electrifying capabilities, the Q8 e-tron will come equipped with an adaptive sport differential system, advanced ride control, and optional carbon-fiber-coupled brakes.

While these details remain preliminary, Audi's latest spy shots give enthusiasts a tantalizing glimpse into what its next luxury sedan may have in store.
