Hyundai to Debut IONIQ 6 N Drift Spec and Performance Parts at Goodwood Festival of Speed
Hyundai is set to unveil its new IONIQ 6 N Drift Spec and Performance Parts at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed, scheduled to take place on July 10th. The IONIQ 6 N, based on the E-GMP platform, is Hyundai's second all-electric performance variant in its N series lineup.
The limited-edition drift spec model is expected to make its debut alongside its standard counterpart, boasting an even more aggressive rear diffuser and a new aerodynamic package designed specifically for drifting. The Performance Parts version is likely to signal a shift towards modularization and user-driven customization in Hyundai's electric vehicle strategy.
While official details are scarce, enthusiasts anticipate that the 2024 IONIQ 6 N will feature advanced driver assistance features such as N e-shift sound wave simulation and N Drift Optimizer drifting modes. Powering the vehicle is expected to be a familiar setup to its Ionqiq 5 N counterpart, with maximum output capable of reaching 650 horsepower while being paired with all-wheel drive.
Several key upgrades are also slated for the 2024 IONIQ 6 N model. A new suspension system has been designed and re-engineered to deliver improved weight distribution by altering the chassis geometry; meanwhile an updated electronic damping system promises tighter control over comfort and dynamics without sacrificing its responsive handling capabilities.
