Shanghai Auto Show Preview: Xiaomi Cars Unveils MIUSU7 Ultra and MiSU7
The countdown to the 2024 Shanghai Auto Show has begun. Lei Xiuqiang, Vice President of Xiaomi Automobiles, recently posted on social media to tease the upcoming event. Among the highlights is a new SUV model from the brand – the MiSU7 Ultra.
Taking center stage is the MiSU7 Ultra and its counterpart, the MiSU7, which will debut at this year's Shanghai Auto Show, set to take place on April 23rd. Fans eager for a glimpse of the upcoming MiYU7 model are in luck, as Lei Xiuqiang revealed that it will indeed be making an appearance.
Pricing for the MiSU7 Ultra is expected to fall within the 30-40 million yuan range, with deliveries targeted at June-July 2025. When it comes to design, this new SUV boasts a robust and aerodynamic profile, blending seamlessly into its category as a middle-large SUV. Measurements reveal the MiSU7 Ultra measures in at an impressive 4999mm x 1996mm x 1608(1600)mm, including a set back axle and overall vehicle length of 3000mm.
From the inside out, the MiSU7 Ultra does not disappoint. Inside, its sleek interior boasts the latest design elements – a round projection screen displays all sorts of information such as speed data along with navigational details. You'll also find new steering wheel layouts plus an enhanced grab bar region. This model represents the pinnacle of automotive innovation and sophistication in this era we live in.
When it comes to power, MiSU7 Ultra offers an array of electric options including single dual motor configurations for a range spanning 760km - 850km. On top of that, both rear-wheel drive plus four - wheel - all-wheel drive variants take full advantage of cutting-edge battery life with storage capacities ranging between 94.3KWh to 95.6Kwh.
It's interesting to note that MiSU7 Ultra features two main electric motors – each one powerful and ready-equipped in delivering speeds up to 253mph, coupled with massive combined energy consumption figures measuring an impressive 508kW or 691 horsepower.
As its full-featured counterpart – MiYU7 boasts four-wheel drive abilities thanks to a power-packed dual motor propulsion configuration designed for speed-seekers looking at extending the limits of all-wheel drive technology. When considering efficiency we find that YU7 has a low-gamma front axle option combined with an advanced three-moon battery system delivering impressive performance and handling. While top speeds of 253mph set it apart from other electric vehicles on the market, MiSU7 Ultra boasts driving capabilities up to 240 mph in single-motor models – coupled with ample capacity for storage.
While full details will be unveiled during the Shanghai Auto Show, these key features show that this brand has truly made big waves in car manufacturing.
