Catera Mountain S1 Four-Wheel Drive to Debut on May 26th

The Catera Mountain S1 four-wheel drive version is set to officially launch on May 26th, equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and an electric motor, along with the XWD all-automatic intelligent four-wheel drive system.

Prices for the previous mountain S1 two-wheel drive model range from CNY 15,480 to 17,880.

In terms of design, the new Catera Mountain S1 four-wheel drive adopts a similar exterior to its two-wheel drive counterpart, characterized by clean and compact lines. The front bumper is slightly protruding, providing additional protection in the event of an accident.

Two side lamps are equipped with four-leaf clover-style running lights, while the middle daytime running light features an all-segment design that enhances visibility during the day. The car's wheels feature dual-color five-spoke alloy rims, giving the vehicle a sharp and aggressive appearance.

The dimensions of the new model measure 4706mm in length, 1967mm in width, and 1845mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2810mm, positioning it as an Ultra-compressed-type SUV. With a ground clearance of 200mm and a close range angle of 28° and a departure angle of 29°, the vehicle offers optimal clearance and maneuverability for on-road use.

The interior design also conforms to the principles of clean-cut and minimalist style, boasting large screen sizes, multi-functional controls on the steering wheel, and various buttons with physical controls. There are handovers in the front passenger seat area reminiscent of classic off-road vehicles, making it easier to sit upright while traversing rough terrain.

The powertrain lineup of the new Catera Mountain S1 four-wheel drive incorporates a specially designed power unit by Chery Peacock 1.5T and an electric motor combination with XWD all-automatic intelligent systems, yielding total performance of 435kW and maximum twist torque of 843N·m, offering driving styles that cater to urban roads powered with electricity, highways driven exclusively on gasoline, and off-road environments blending both.

The vehicle is equipped with a battery from Ningde Time's Generation 43.2Kv, with an estimated pure electric driving range of over 220km measured using the CLTC method.
