Anhui City Unveils Plan to Support New Energy Vehicle Charging Station Development
Anhui Province's Economic and Technological Development Zone issued a plan on March 6, 2023, outlining the "Support Scheme for Applying New Energy Vehicle Charging Stations" ( discussed draft ). As one of 11 new energy vehicle charging station application test cities designated by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Hefei is expected to further resonate with the national call, amplifying the brand effect of new energy vehicles.
To promote new energy vehicle charging stations' applications, Hefei's Economic and Technological Development Zone has announced special awards for enterprises participating in promotional activities. Companies meeting the specified requirements are expected to build a suitable service system and provide higher-quality, more convenient new energy vehicle products and services.
In response to government calls, Geely Automobile subsidiary Zele Car launched an exclusive subsidy program for electric vehicles with exchangeable plates. From March 6, 2023, to March 31, 2023, buyers purchasing Zele brand series or Lyado models will receive special discounts. The following is a breakdown of the subsidies:
- Cars priced below 2.5 million yuan will have a rebate of 2,000 yuan per car.
- Cars priced between 2.5 million and 4 million yuan will have a rebate of 6,000 yuan per car.
- Cars priced above 4 million yuan will receive an additional rebate of 10,000 yuan each.
In February, Geely Automobile announced its February sales figures, which revealed that Zele brand series and Lyado brand combined shipped 13,192 new vehicles in the month, a year-on-year growth rate of 62.2%. There was also a 12.4% same- month increase for brands under the Zele banner and an equivalent growth rate of 15.5% for Lyado.
Throughout the month, Geely Automobile has delivered a cumulative total of 698,619 new vehicles to date, with a combined breakdown: 667,897 vehicles for Zele brand products and 32,122 vehicles for Lyado products.
