Volvo XC60 T8 Gets Minor Updates in New Chinese Listings

Volvo has released a set of updated images for the new XE-based flagship model, the XC60 T8. The updates primarily focus on exterior design tweaks.

The released images reveal that the new car will be identical to overseas versions with improvements made to styling elements such as front fascias and alloy wheels.

Design Updates

  • The front grille features a new layout of intersecting stripes, while high-end variants will come equipped with a polished chrome finish.
  • The mid-range model is set to acquire a matte-black makeover.
  • For the extreme night mode variant predicted by industry analysts and enthusiasts alike, it is hinted that there will be an all-black exterior with certain minor adjustments made to create unique touches like window trim patterns and roof colors.

Wheels and Exhaust Systems

The new XC60 T8 adds unique alloy wheel designs. The rear section of the car gets a makeover where exhaust pipes undergo a similar transformation which was recently revealed in overseas specifications showcasing the look for this high-performance variant, and the rest being a welcome sight for many Volvo fanatics who love performance.

Interior Improvements

  • A larger 11.2 inches display screen at the center console promises improved control interfaces.

These upgrades build on the existing successful performance of power outputs from 2.0l turbocharged engine coupled with an electric motor, which in this latest version is boosted to new heights by achieving combined top outputs of 335kW and WLTC-certificated ranges of all-electric driving lasting about 64 km
