Beijing, February 12 - The GAC Golden Dragon L6 EM-i has been officially launched, offering five different trim levels, priced between 8.28 to 10.98 thousand yuan. Additionally, various discounts are now available for customers.

Key Features of the GAC Golden Dragon L6 EM-i

The exterior design of the GAC Golden Dragon L6 EM-i features a closed front grille, ring-shaped LED lights across the front windshield, and a distinctive T-shaped lamp configuration below the hood. The new logo adds a fresh visual touch to the car's appearance.

The side profile showcases a sleek, sloping roofline and low-profile wheel wells, adding to its sporty aesthetic. The rear end features a central LED grid layout with an expanded diffuser design, enhancing both functionality and visual appeal.

In terms of dimensions, the L6 EM-i measures 4,782mm in length, 1,875mm in width, and 1,489mm in height, with a fixed wheelbase of 2,752mm. This compact yet capable vehicle is perfectly suited for those seeking reliable transportation without sacrificing style.

Inside the cabin, the new infotainment system features a simpler but more modern dashboard design, equipped with a wide-open screen showcasing digital displays and a touch-sensitive control panel. Additional amenities include wireless charging ports and button controls.

Powering the L6 EM-i is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine combined with an electric motor as part of GAC's EM-i Super Electric Hybrid technology. The engine produces up to 82 kW (112 hp) without superchargers, making it more fuel-efficient.

Electric-only ranges are estimated at 48 km and 115 km based on a 8.5 kWh or 19.09 kWh energy storage system respectively, with overall consumption in EV mode ranging from 3.8 liters to 3.95 liters for every hundred kilometers. Total range up to 1300 km.

Competitors

With its launch comes competition from other compact hybrid vehicles such as the Baidu Qin Plus DM-i and Geely GC A8L. GAC's latest technology has yet again enhanced user convenience while bolstering engine performance.
