Beijing, February 19 – The latest edition of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's directory has revealed the GAC Galaxy T8, a brand-new electric hybrid multipurpose vehicle (MPV) under the Jettour Ocean brand. This vehicle boasts an all-new design language, featuring the latest supercharged electric hybrid powertrain.
The exterior design prominently features sleeker headlights, a central ring of lights that echoes the signature glow, and two sides with embedded directional slits adorned with T-shaped aluminum trims for added sophistication. Additionally, they employ hidden trunk handles to reduce drag factor and enhance overall aerodynamics. The rear is similarly designed for harmonious synergy.
The vehicle's dimensions measure 5018 * 1918 * 1480mm in width (lengthwidthheight), and its turning radius is a measured 2928mm. In power terms, it equips the high-efficiency REAPM 120 kW system built by Geely Electrification Technology company, coupled with the BHE15-BFZ engine developed by Extreme Bay tech; thus ensuring an unparalleled blend of supercharged electric performance and driving convenience without any compromising on its range.
Galaxy T8's battery packs contain an effective storage of 18.4 kWh of lithium-ion capacity, allowing this car to travel an impressive further of 130km on pure electricity power alone. Furthermore, features like premium vehicle-to-everything (V2X) smart connection system coupled with the latest 'Flyme Auto' interface for unmatched smartphone and automotive integration provides an unparalleled driving experience.
This vehicle is finally ready for Chinese retail market from March beginning, while details of pre-sale or delivery timing will be announced by manufacturers soon.
