China's Automotive Manufacturers Recalling 380,000 Vehicles over Potential Fuel Pump Failure

Two major Chinese automotive manufacturers, Guangqi Honda and Dongfeng Honda, have submitted a plan to recall approximately 380,000 vehicles due to potential fuel pump failure. The recall is based on regulations from the Ministry of Market Economy and Trade regarding defect in automobile products management.

Recall Batches:

Guangqi Honda will begin recalling vehicles with serial numbers from August 31st, 2025. All model years of the following models are affected (June 28th, 2022 - September 20th, 2024):

• Domestic gasoline version and hybrid plug-in versions of the Yardley
• Hybridplug-in version of the Type Gear
• Plug-in and hybrid plug-in versions of the Horizon
• Hybrid ZRV-Certified Series vehicles

Dongfeng Honda will begin recalling vehicles with serial numbers from August 31st, 2025. All model years of the following models are affected (February 10th, 2022 - September 23rd, 2024):

• Domestic gasoline version and hybrid plug-in versions of the English Pride
• Hybrid version of HR-V
• Hybrid generation of THINK domain
• Hybrid and plug-in hybrid CR-V models

Reason for Recall:

The automotive products are being recalled due to an increased risk of fuel pump malfunctions that occur when high-pressure components in these vehicles fail. This could be unsafe for the user as well as contribute to air pollution risks.

Correction Measures:

Guangqi Honda and Dongfeng Honda will provide free replacement upgrades for faulty fuel pumps on qualifying vehicles, preventing potential accidents associated with compromised safety and emission standards.

Recall notifications will be issued by Guangqi Honda and Dongfeng Honda through hang up card notices and contacts for authorized repair shops. Owners of affected vehicles can call the following:
