Toyota's Q1 Sales Report Shows Strong Growth and Launch of bZ5
On May 1, we received word from officials at Toyota Daihatsu that the company has sold 65,024 new vehicles in April, boasting a year-on-year increase of 32%. This marks a significant growth following its second quarter record, which saw over 172,000 units sold – up 9.6% from this time last year.
Electric vehicle sales continue to make strides, with 34,794 units sold, accounting for 54% of the total sales. The TNGA-K platform above sedan segment boasts high-end vehicle sales at 39,087 units, making up 60% of overall sales.
Meanwhile, Toyota Daihatsu has been promoting its "Time Reborn Renewal Plan" – a vehicle ageing value subsidy program that aims to provide consumers with a more favorable deal. As part of this, customers will receive a supplement of RMB1,000 on top of the enhanced car-warranty value for vehicles over 2 years old after December 31st of last year. Customers who participate in two-car buying together with their partner will get an additional subsidy of RMB5,000.
Not long ago, Toyota released its new bZ5 for pre-sales, offering the customers a good option for purchasing these car models at a price range of RMB13-16 million and the official opening time is June. During this limited-time offer, customers can enjoy 500 yuan's advance down payment discounting to CNY5000 down payment rebate.

By cooperating with 544 Tops high-performance chipsets, which are equipping bZ5 with an all-new set of 33 different sensor hardware technologies that are capable of assisting city drivers assist both city driving navigation and highway autonomous driving support services including more than 30 features such as parking automatic supporting capabilities.
In terms of powertrain, the standard package comes equipped with a 200 kilowatt electric motor and rechargeable lead-acid battery pack, which has an approximate fuel consumption range of 500 km to 630 km, respectively.
